Generosity comes in many ways and we can now officially recognize your In-Kind donation!
UUFE In-Kind Donation Policy
An in-kind donation is the monetary value of donated services, goods, or property. While the church appreciates and encourages donations of needed items, space and other limitations dictate the type and amount of items that can be accepted. While UUFE graciously accepts most in-kind donations, we also reserve the right to decline any in-kind donation. In-kind donations may not be used to fulfill your pledge.
Anyone wishing to donate items to the church should contact a member of The Board. The Board, along with appropriate staff members and/or committees, will determine whether and when the items will be accepted. An acknowledgement for donated items valued in excess of $100 may be provided if requested by the donor. Following receipt of the in-kind donation, a letter can be sent to the donor containing a description (but not value) of the in-kind contribution. The donor is responsible for estimating the value of non-cash contributions when they are reported to the IRS on a donor’s tax return. The letter should also state that “No goods or services were received by the donor for this donation.”
