Giving is one of life’s greatest satisfactions, especially when you know that your gift will help to ensure the future of our UU congregation in Easton. Giving financially to the Endowment Fund will help to ensure that our dreams and vision, and those of the ones that came before us, will continue into the future.

About UUFE’s Endowment Fund and Planned Giving Committee

The goal of the Endowment Fund is to ensure the financial viability of UUFE as well as to provide funds to enhance the congregational life of the Fellowship. The duty of the Planned Giving Committee is to make investments and adopt financial policies that will generate long-term returns while protecting and growing the principal of those investments. The Committee also oversees distributions from the Fund.

Donations to the Endowment Fund are currently invested in a Vanguard Star Fund and are overseen by the UUFE Endowment Committee. Distributions from the income portion of the Fund (up to 5% of the total value) can be used to supplement the annual operating budget, intermittent financial needs of UUFE under extraordinary circumstances as decided by the congregation. Distributions will be made according to the distribution policy.

How It Works

UUFE’s Endowment Fund can accept gifts of cash, equities, charitable gift remainder annuities, life insurance, IRA funds and others.
You can make a gift to the Endowment Fund any time, beginning today, through a bequest, or other planned gift.

• To Give Today – Write a check or transfer funds to UUFE and designate that it is for the Endowment Fund. In the case of material assets like vehicles, property, jewelry, etc., UUFE prefers that you convert them to cash first.
• A Future Gift from Your Estate – Please see the document, “How to Make a Gift from Your Estate” for suggestions and guidelines for naming UUFE to receive a gift from your Last Will and Testament.

Once you have decided to make a gift to the Endowment, either by cash or through your estate, notify the Planned Giving Committee by returning the completed “Confidential Bequest Reply Form” to the Planned Giving Committee.

Donor Recognition
The UUFE “List of Endowment Fund Contributors” honors and acknowledges those who make planned gifts and their willingness to plan for the future of the church.

When you notify the Endowment Committee of your gift, we will add you to the online list of contributors to the Endowment. If you do not wish to be recognized, your gift will remain anonymous.
