Easton Folk Jam Sessions
A friendly, casual music circle that meets on the 2nd Friday of each month. Participants can lead a song or tune, “pass” and participate, or just listen! Acoustic instruments, please. Families and listeners are always welcome.
Hosted by Dave Moore, Dick Hogle, & Beth Lawton. Contact Beth if you have questions or concerns.
Eastern Shore Shape Note Sing
Come and sing!
UUFE hosts a community shape-note sing from the Shenandoah Harmony, 2-5pm on the second Saturday of each month. This full-voice singing tradition, sometimes called “Sacred Harp singing,” has roots in early American community music, and is a vibrant living tradition in the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
The first 30 minutes of each second-Saturday sing are dedicated to an orientation to the shape-note style–beginners welcome! Plenty of songbooks available to loan and share. Feel free to bring a light snack to share.
Hosted by Topher Lawton (who can be reached at hieanon+fasola@gmail.com).
All are welcome — Join us in lively singing!
