In every life there comes a time when we are called on to speak out. Where will we find the courage to answer the call of our hearts? Join our guest minister Rev. Phyllis Hubbell for our morning service.
Rev. Phyllis Hubbell was briefly a social worker, a teacher, a researcher, and then, for fourteen years, an attorney at the U. S. Department of Justice. Near the end of that time, she began to feel that she wanted to do more to make a difference in the world. After hearing a call to ministry, she entered the Starr King School for the Ministry. She and her husband, John Manwell, served as co-ministers at the First Unitarian Church of Baltimore from 1994 to 2008. For the next twelve years, Phyllis and John filled a series of interim and developmental ministries, as well as guest preaching.
