American Roots Coffeehouse – Traditional Music through History

Travel with us from colonial America and traditional songs and tunes, through songs of the Civil War, popular parlor tunes of the late 19th century, and on up to “modern” blues of the 1920s. This interactive, lively service will be presented as a coffeehouse, with coffee and treats during the service.

Ampersand’s Beth Lawton & Dick Hogle, with newest member Dave Moore, are pleased to guide this journey through traditional roots music. This group plays at historical settings, National parks, local farmers markets, and assisted living sites – bringing guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and hammered dulcimer to underpin their rich vocal harmonies.
