An event every month that begins at 4:00pm on day Last of the month, repeating until June 25, 2019
The Soul Matters small group offers a unique opportunity to deepen connection and support spiritual practice following monthly themes such as sanctuary, mystery, trust, and beauty. Previous UUFE participants appreciated how the material and format allowed them to get to know themselves and others on a whole new level.
Soul Matters challenges participants to think about how each theme applies to our daily living. From provided questions, each person finds the one question that “hooks them”—the one that speaks to and challenges them personally. They then “walk with” that question for a couple weeks leading up to the group, where they will share a story about how their one personally chosen question led them to deeper, personal insight. Spiritual discernment, not intellectualization, is the goal.
The group will usually meet the last Tuesday of each month, 4 to 5:30 pm, at the Sanctuary or a member home, beginning October 23. Register after the service or contact facilitator Kara Crissey at firstname.lastname@example.org. To foster more sharing, space is limited to 12.
